Charting New Waters…

After retiring from a rewarding career, finishing out as Chief Academic Officer for Elementary Schools in Stafford County, my initial goal was to clean out my closets (still working on that…)! As much joy as it brought me to have some time to myself and getting organized, once I was a year into it, I realized I missed being on a mission each day and working to provide a service to my community.

Best Friends make great life partners…

My husband Keith, has been a realtor for over 15 years, and I had the good fortune to be a part of the Licata Team (as a spouse) before I was actually part of their work team. What a unique experience to get to know the people I would be working with before officially joining this incredible team!
Keith and I met in Gordonsville in middle school and were friends for years. We dated after I went away to college and he joined the Navy, then began married life in Stafford before returning to Orange where we lived on Main Street as we raised our boys, Aubrey and Luke. We have continued our journey together, enjoying all that Lake of the Woods (as we affectionately call “LOW”) Life has to offer. Keith is an avid golfer, and I am learning, thanks to Lake of the Woods Farm Team!

Actively enjoying our “LOW” Life!

One of the things we love most about our community is the close friendships we have made along the way and all of the many opportunities to be involved and connected. Too much to mention here, but never a dull moment! That being said, we also still enjoy heading to surrounding vineyards, local attractions, and staying connected to those in our old “stomping grounds.”

Harmonizing with Pic and Sing: A Melodic Journey

I recently joined the “Pic and Sing” group, who meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. This group welcomes all levels of talent and is just plain fun to be with!

Who rescued Who?

As our boys have grown and moved away (both live nearby in Richmond), we have adopted rescue “girls” to keep our house active! Our very shy “Weezie” (bulldog mix) came home with us at the very beginning of COVID lockdown and has been a precious addition to our family! Our most recent adoption, “Pearl” (Bichon mix) is the total opposite personality (of course!), happy to meet new people and typically shows off with a “happy dance” at the front door!

Best of Both Worlds…

Living on Keaton Lake allows our family a peaceful retreat. I grew up camping with my family and I joke that I am “glamping” and enjoying life on my “Little” Lake. We also look forward to spending time with friends on the main lake, including visiting the Club House and setting out for our summer tie-ups (pontoons, that is!).

I am thankful for being part of a professional, devoted team as I continue to work on behalf of others. I look forward to supporting clients on their journeys to their next best place in life!

Thankful…
